Las Vegas accident report

After a car accident, there’s a good chance your mind is in a million different places. If you’ve been injured, you might be wondering how long it’s going to take to recover and when you’ll be on your feet again. You might also be concerned about medical bills piling up, not to mention missed paychecks from time off work. On top of that, the car insurance company of the driver who hit you might be trying to dodge your calls (or flat out deny your claim).

Of all the things that might be vying for your attention right now, requesting a copy of your Las Vegas car accident report might be pretty low down on your list of priorities. But it turns out that an accident report can actually be a crucial piece of evidence in your car accident claim. These reports, often completed by a responding police officer at the scene, contain invaluable information such as:

  • Exactly where and when the accident occurred
  • Photos of the crash site
  • Witness statements and/or contact information
  • Identifying info about all drivers and passengers involved in the crash
  • A diagram of the accident scene with accompanying narrative
  • The name, badge number, and agency of the reporting police officer
